It has been recently announced that there is a change in the SOCSO Maximum Salary Ceiling amount as well as Payment Method effective March 2016, where payment is due by 15 April 2016.

Changes to Maximum Salary Ceiling amount

Increase in the maximum salary ceiling from RM3,000 to RM4,000 which in turns changes the employee’s maximum monthly contribution from RM14.75 to RM19.75; a total of RM5.00 difference. Whereas employer’s maximum monthly contribution changes from RM51.65 to RM69.15; a total increase of RM17.50 per month.

Do note that SOCSO board has yet to update the Contribution Rate Table and this is expected to be done by 1st week of March.

Changes to Payment Method

In the effort to improve the efficiency of data management of employee’s contribution made, SOCSO has stopped the use of compact disc & diskettes and manual filing of Form 8A. All submissions can only be done through Internet Banking and the banks authorised for this service are as per below:
